And you know what you’d be called if you did? A Water Strider, that’s what.

Charley wrote about this work….”Water Striders is one of my favorites of all my designs. For this reason, I wanted to make it into a silkscreen print, although I had never attempted one so large. I found the difficulties inherent in the silkscreen process, ever present when I worked smaller, are magnified at this size, particularly the difficulty of handling prints without damaging them. Because of these problems, I do not expect to make another silkscreen print this large.”
In a later interview, Charley claimed this was his favorite image.
